Podcast: Paid Family Leave

In a new Fairness Initiative on Low-wage Work podcast, Sarah Fass, a policy associate at Columbia University's National Center for Children in Poverty (NCCP), discusses her recent NCCP report Paid Leave in the States: A Critical Support for Low-wage Workers and Their Families .

The report explains how paid leave is instrumental in promoting family economic security, as well as supporting parent and child health and wellbeing, and highlights how some states' paid leave policies are becoming models in the absence of an adequate policy at the federal level.
