Suma Setty joined NCCP as a project coordinator in February 2015. As part of the Family Economic Security team, she has led qualitative studies examining unpaid and paid family and medical leave programs in the United States. In her current role as research associate, Suma draws on her background in policy advocacy, health communications, and community organizing. She assists in updating NCCP's online data tools — the Basic Needs Budget Calculator and Family Resource Simulator — as well as the center’s Basic Facts about Low-Income Children fact sheets, which are revised annually.
